Micom shortlisted for Employer of the Year at Insider’s Midlands 250 Awards

Micom has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year at Insider’s Midlands 250 Awards, recognising our commitment to creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued and able to grow.

With the awards taking place on 15 October, we’re looking forward to celebrating alongside fellow finalists Rushcliffe Care, PA Wright & Sons, M&O Group and EH Smith.

‍

The category, sponsored by Knights, recognises businesses that put people at the heart of their success. Judges looked for evidence of strong workplace culture, employee engagement and a clear commitment to wellbeing, development and inclusion.

‍

For us, being shortlisted is a chance to recognise the colleagues who bring those values to life.

‍

A culture built by our people

A workplace culture takes shape through everyday experiences. Having someone to turn to when you need support. Being encouraged to learn. Feeling comfortable sharing an idea or asking a question.

‍

Alongside that daily support, colleagues across Micom have come together through charity fundraising, wellbeing activities and company events.

‍

Our Diversity Day gave people the opportunity to share food and traditions from their cultures and backgrounds. Our Wellness & Self-Care Month brought colleagues together through fitness and wellbeing activities, while Mental Health First Aid training has helped make support more accessible within the business.

‍

Earlier this year, Micom was also named among the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing and Best Workplaces for Development by Great Place To Work®. The wellbeing recognition was based on anonymous feedback from our colleagues, making it particularly meaningful.

These moments reflect the time, care and effort our people put into making Micom a good place to work.

We believe the experience of working at Micom helps shape the experience of working with us.

Our customers rely on our team to understand their communication needs, answer questions and help resolve problems. Supporting our colleagues and giving them opportunities to develop helps create the conditions for them to do that work well.

That connection matters. Technology plays a central role in what we deliver, but people build the relationships and take responsibility for helping customers get things right.
